Who am I?  Sometimes, I think I'm still figuring that out.  I was born in Iredell County, NC, and spent most of my adolescence in Carson City, NV.  Halfway through high school, I moved back to Raleigh, NC, and subsequently went to UNC-Chapel Hill (GO HEELS!).  I'm in my fourth year at Woods Charter School, a place I truly feel lucky to work at.

I enjoy watching students grow in the time I have with them, both mentally and physically.  Often I feel like I receive children at the start of 7th grade, and by the end of 8th grade, I'm saying goodbye to young adults!  I try to put an emphasis on individual thought and smart choices as I work with students to develop responsible habits and strategies for success in the future.  I teach because it's a wild and crazy adventure in which I get to learn while my students do, too.
